Although potentially drawn in a 'group of death' with Gary Richards, Cyril Mitchener, and League Champion Mike Newton, Panos won all three of his games without conceding a goal.  In the ensuing battle to join Panos for the other place in the knock out stage, Cyril and Mike tied on the same number of points, goal difference, and goals scored.  The resulting shoot-out saw Cyril march on and the suprising departure of Mike in the first round.

Group 2 went more to form with Tony Wall taking the top spot.  Andy Dawkins' 1-0 win over Paul Robinson was enough to see him also qualify.

The semi-finals saw Panos keep a clean sheet yet again as he knocked out Andy by the only goal of the game.  Meanwhile,  League Runner-Up, Tony Wall, left the competition at this stage as Cyril Mitchener crept home by the only goal of the game.

With only one goal conceded between them in the whole competition, the final between Panos and Cyril was never likely to be a goal-fest.  A low scoring final duly followed with Panos' single goal being enough to gain him his first Wiltshire trophy.

In the City Life Junior Cup it was left to Portsmouth teenagers Matthew Wall and John Burns to battle out for the honours in the final after topping a group that included Dimitris and Jenny Stemitsiotis.  The final consisted of only one goal but this was sufficient to see Matthew, already Junior Champion, take the honours on the day and re-instate some faith in the formbook! 

The Wiltshire players return to Harnham on 8th June to battle it out for the Roy Coxen Cup - a prelude to the 'Big One', the Wiltshire County Cup in July.
