Despite the absence of four regular members, the Club still managed to field thirteen players for the annual Roy Coxen Cup.
This was the third major of the season, following the Wessex League and the City Life Cup. Mike Newton and Panos Stemitsiotis claimed the first two, and Tony Wall deservedly claimed this prize following a very consistent season.
The first round of the competition was seeded and, true to form, the top seeds of Tony, Panos, Mike Newton, and Cyril Mitchener emerged to fight out the semi finals.
Cyril gave Panos a run for his money, just losing out by the odd goal of three in his match. Similarly, Tony just managed to beat off Mikes challenge by an identical score.
In the final Tony took a lead in the first half before Panos broke back to equalise halfway through the second period. The game then went to shots to produce a champion and Tony emerged triumphant hitting the target four times out of four in a very cool display of clinical finishing.
Andy Dawkins claimed the John Mason Trophy with a 3-0 win over Paul Robinson after a run of closely fought games and (literally) last minute goals over Matthew Wall and Malcolm Bosomworth.
In the Junior Section, John Burns claimed the Mike Absolam Cup, beating Jenny Stemitsiotis 2-0 in the final.
